More Like Jesus: Joyful in Every Season

Overview

This season we’ve been discussing what it looks like to become “More Like Jesus.” In this discussion, we’d like to dive into what it means to find joy in every season and how we can grow to become more like Jesus along the way. Life's a rollercoaster, isn't it? Sometimes it feels like we're soaring high, and other times, we're plunging into the depths. But here's the thing: no matter where we find ourselves, God calls us to embrace joy, just like Jesus did.

So, today, we're diving into some scriptures that shed light on this concept of joyfulness.  As we chat today, let's be honest. Let's talk about our struggles, our victories, and everything in between. Because this journey toward joy and becoming more like Jesus—it's messy, it's challenging, but it is worth it.

Read

Philippians 4:4 NIV

“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!”

Psalms 23:4-5 NIV

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Galatians 5:22-23 NIV

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
