RETREAT INFO

It’s nice to know the who, what, when, where, and why of YA Retreat, so check out all the answers below!

What's included?

The cost covers housing (shared, single-gender cabins), food (breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday; breakfast on Sunday), fun (parties, sports tourneys, and more!), messages, worship, and quiet time. Be sure to bring your own snacks and some cash money to buy any and all Retreat merch!

What's the schedule?

We will head to Wonderland Camp on Friday, April 19 through Sunday, April 21, for a 3-day, 2-night retreat where we will hear amazing messages, worship with YA Worship, and escape the craziness of life.

Night one we arrive at Wonderland around 5pm (B.Y.O. dinner), get settled in our cabins and hang out, have our first message and worship session at 7:30pm, then kickoff the weekend with a late-night party.

On day two, after breakfast, we’ll have our morning worship session then break for lunch, sports tourneys (volleyball, basketball), and free time. We’ll gather for dinner and end the night with another amazing message and worship session.

On the final day, we’ll grab breakfast, clean up, and head to our Kenosha Campus to sit together at the 11am service.

How do we get there?

Parking spots are limited up at Wonderland Camp. So, find your friends and carpool! If you’re new, it’s only a 20-minute drive west from our Kenosha Campus, so don’t worry about the drive being too long!

What should I pack?

  • A reusable water bottle (there will be water fountains around the camp)

  • Bedding and towel—Wonderland Camp will NOT be providing bedding, so please bring a sleeping bag/sheets/blanket, towel, pillow, etc.

  • Warm, comfy clothes—Anytime nice clothes are brought, they are almost never worn. Bring all the hoodies, sweatpants, and T-shirts! (Please keep it appropriate with the event and your peers in mind.)

  • Sneakers/boots

  • Toiletries

  • Medications

  • Raincoat/umbrella

  • Extra blankies

  • Snacks on snacks on snacks

  • Money for merch (We take cash or card)

What’s NOT allowed?

  • Alcohol and recreational drugs—Even if you are of legal age, these substances are prohibited at Wonderland Camp and all Journey Young Adults events (this includes any medicinal marijuana). We don’t want you to be subject to fines and get sent home!

  • Pets—Although we love your animals, pets (including service animals) are not permitted on the grounds of Wonderland Camp.

Can I pick my roommates?

Yes! We want you all to have the best time growing with your community. At checkout, you’ll be able to put the name of someone you want to room with, and we will try our best to make sure you and all your friends are staying together.

If you’re new and don’t have anyone to put down, don’t stress! We will get you in a room with amazing people and they will become your BFFs—emphasis on the “forever”!

What if I have food allergies?

If you are allergic to any foods, there is an area to make a note of it on the registration form. This is for legitimate food allergies, not just for personal preference. We suggest bringing additional snacks and meals that meet your dietary needs. We don’t want anyone getting hangry up at Retreat.
